Requirements for FME TVET Initiative Program 2025

The TVET Initiative program comes in two phases which guarantees flexibility:

Short-Term Certificate Programme: The STC programme is basically for individuals with little or no knowledge of skills and training or individuals with or without no formal education background and the duration for the Short-Term Certificate Progamme (STC) is Six (6) months. Requirement for the STC programme includes:

  1. A valid proof of identification such as National Identity Number (NIN) or Voters Identification Number (VIN).
  2. Individual’s Bank Verification Number (BVN)
  3. Must not be more than 40 years old.

Vocational Education and Innovation Programme (VEI): The VEI programme is primarily for individuals with knowledge of skills and training or individual with education background but no much or informal training experience that looks to learn and deepen their knowledge on a particular skill. The duration for the Vocational Education and Innovation Programme (VEI) is One (1) year and its requirements includes:

  1. First School Leaving Certificate, WASSCE/NABTEB/NECO/GCE certificate
    • OR
  2. Any form of training certificates either from organizations, firms etc.
    • OR
  3. A valid proof or recognition of Pre or Prior Learning either through apprenticeship or acquired skills.

  1. Visit the application portal of TVET Initiative Program

  3. Click on “Apply Now” on the portal
  4. Register by filling in your National Identification Number (NIN) and Date of Birth (DOB), email and phone number
