Is the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Candidates Shortlist Out?
YES! The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise. Successful candidates will find their names published on the NIS official portal. Additionally, those selected will proceed to the next phase, which includes a scheduled screening exercise.
Shortlisted candidates whose names are on the published list are to report to their respective states of origin as stated above for the next phase of the recruitment process (screening exercise).
Key Notes on the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Recruitment/Shortlisted Candidate
Attention all applicants! If you applied for the recently concluded Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) 2025 recruitment, please take note of the following important updates:
- Applicants are to note that there will no Computer Based testing conducted for them.
- Applicants should not that there are no special centers for replacement.
- Also, there will be no form of CBAT exercise.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo screening in their respective states of origin.
- If we discover any shortlisted candidate forged documents, we will automatically disqualify and withdraw them, then hand them over to the Nigerian Police for prosecution.
- Shortlisted candidates must not pay bribes or any form of gratification to individuals or groups offering assistance during the screening exercise.

How to Check Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Candidates Shortlist 2025
The shortlisted candidates will be published on the official portal of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at https://www.niscareer.com.ng/, login on the portal using the email address and passwords created during the application process and check for their names on the candidates’ shortlist
Also, after the screening exercise, successful candidates will be transported or conveyed to the Nigeria Immigration Service training school (from FG’s provision sorted by each state) for documents verification and commencement of training for a period of six-months camp-life. After completion of the 6-months training, successful candidates will be commissioned into the Nigeria Immigration Service and will be inducted into the North East Theatre of operations which encompasses 12 weeks of intensive training exercise on Freight Management and Human Trafficking.
